Feed Pump Calibration
To perform this calibration, the feed pump was set at variable speeds (2, 4, 6, 8, and 10) and the volume of water that was pumped from the feed cylinder in one minute was recorded. Therefore, this calibration produced a chart of volumetric flow rates corresponding to computer pump settings. Figure 1 depicts this experimental setup for the calibrations.

The feed pump calibration was performed at settings 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10. The recorded change in volume over the one-minute interval at each of these settings is given as Table I. Figure 7 presents the calibration curve for the feed pump.
